Islands

In response to the UK’s decision to further it’s islandness in 2016, we became interested in our experience as islanders. This led to a series of expeditions and collaborations.

Although an island hosts the potential for romance and freedom, for many throughout history the reality of island life is hardship, self sufficiency and the enduring presence of the sea. We have researched artists that respond to these themes and developed fieldwork methods, networks and creative ways to collaborate, learn and make on site together.
